Every chapter comes with lessons

Hi there,
I've been journaling since about 2020 and lately I have been reflecting on life lately, so I thought, why not share some of my stories and lessons with you.
Recently, I set out on an exciting journey to start my lap around Aus with one of my best friends. We had worked so hard over the past year to save for this dream, but life had other plans. An unexpected trouble to the car turned us back to home-back to where we least expected to be.
At first, it felt so disappointing. We were so close to the start of something we have dreamed of for so long. It was a rollercoaster of emotions. But being home made me realize something that I didn't know I needed. Which was to slow down and chill out.
As I was getting over the stillness and started diving into my art, the unthinkable happened- I had a surfing accident. My board struck me, breaking my cheek and taking away my smile.
My art had started to feel stale, and I had lost all motivation. The dream suddenly felt far away again, and that was hard to accept. But I've learned that when your feeling uninspired, forcing it never works. Life presses pause so you can reset and discover your spark.
I lost my spark and I couldn't understand why the universe shifted my path. Sometimes we will never get the answers, and that's okay. All we can do is try and accept it and trust the road that's been laid out for us.
My cheek has healed beautifully, thanks to the incredible plastic surgeons in Perth, and my smile is about 90%. I'm so grateful for a body that know hows to heals and for the amazing support system around me. Last week I picked up a paintbrush again slowly starting to find my rhythm. And the best part? A new adventure is calling- I'm heading to Indonesia next week. Australia may be on hold for now, but that but doesn't mean the dream is over.
Fun fact is this t-shirt is inspired off a wave in Indonesia.
Thanks for reading, Lots of love :)
